Job Description
The successful candidate will engage in various responsibilities, including:
- Mentoring graduate and undergraduate students.
- Collaborating on biomechanical assessments in both laboratory and clinical settings.
- Coordinating multi-center studies involving clinical and biomechanical assessments.
- Writing grant proposals, including a K99/R00 application.
- Disseminating research findings via publications and presentations at conferences.
Eligibility/Qualification
Required Qualifications:
- PhD in biomedical sciences, biomedical engineering, kinesiology, athletic training, physical therapy, or a related field (PhD must be awarded no more than four years prior to the effective date of appointment).
- Degree in either physical therapy or athletic training.
- Experience in biomechanics data collection methods (motion capture, electromyography, in-shoe load measurements, and force plates).
- Publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in programming (MATLAB or Python).
- Working knowledge of statistical analysis (R Studio preferred).
- Experience assessing sports injuries and working with adolescent populations.
