Summary: The Kevin P. Granata Biomechanics Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral associate to contribute to an interdisciplinary team focused on developing a prognostic model for second Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury risk. This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic research environment that includes clinicians and researchers dedicated to improving care for individuals recovering from ACL injuries.

Job Description

The successful candidate will engage in various responsibilities, including:

  • Mentoring graduate and undergraduate students.
  • Collaborating on biomechanical assessments in both laboratory and clinical settings.
  • Coordinating multi-center studies involving clinical and biomechanical assessments.
  • Writing grant proposals, including a K99/R00 application.
  • Disseminating research findings via publications and presentations at conferences.

Eligibility/Qualification

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD in biomedical sciences, biomedical engineering, kinesiology, athletic training, physical therapy, or a related field (PhD must be awarded no more than four years prior to the effective date of appointment).
  • Degree in either physical therapy or athletic training.
  • Experience in biomechanics data collection methods (motion capture, electromyography, in-shoe load measurements, and force plates).
  • Publication record in peer-reviewed journals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in programming (MATLAB or Python).
  • Working knowledge of statistical analysis (R Studio preferred).
  • Experience assessing sports injuries and working with adolescent populations.
