Research Area:
- Engineering of novel medical devices
- Diagnosis and therapy of metabolic, cardiovascular, and neurologic diseases
Location:
Abu Dhabi, UAE
Eligibility/Qualification:
- A Ph.D. in an engineering or biomedical-related field is required.
- Proficiency in cardiovascular project skills including:
- Design and development of cardiovascular medical devices
- Non-invasive imaging modalities (e.g., echocardiography)
- Computational flow simulation software
Job Description:
The successful applicant will engage in several innovative projects involving:
- Computational modeling
- Device design and manufacturing
- Optimization of chemical, mechanical, and electrical characteristics
- Preclinical experiments
The selected candidate will benefit from multidisciplinary training and academic freedom while working in a collaborative environment consisting of Ph.D.-level scientists, graduate, and undergraduate students. Responsibilities include developing valuable skills in writing manuscripts and grant proposals, advising fellow researchers, and fostering interdisciplinary collaborations.
