Eligibility/Qualification:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Physics, Material Science, or a closely related discipline.
  • Basic understanding of semiconductor electronic properties.
  • Familiarity with optical characterization tools for semiconductors and electronic devices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Labview, MATLAB programming skills.
  • Hands-on experience with glovebox and vacuum chamber operations for film growth.
  • Experience in growing materials using solution methods.
  • Proficient in laser alignment and optical characterizations.

Job Description:

The Postdoctoral Associate will support the research program led by Prof. Nie (PI) in the following areas:

  • Assemble and characterize opto-electronic devices with low-dimensional hybrid single crystals.
  • Build interfaces with organic and 2D materials to investigate charge transfer dynamics.
  • Test photon sensing efficiencies under various radiation conditions and polarized light.
  • Collaborate with the PI in proposal writing and supervising junior graduate students.
