Postdoctoral Associate – Proteomics and Chromatin Biology
Research Area
You will join an established NIH-funded laboratory focused on developing innovative proteomics approaches to address basic science and human health-relevant questions. The lab uses proteomics to identify and quantitate post-translational modifications (PTMs) and single molecular combinations of PTMs (proteoforms). Key techniques include:
- Nanoflow liquid chromatography
- Quantitative top-down proteomics
- Electron transfer dissociation
- Novel in-house data analysis algorithms
These innovations are applied to various basic biology questions revolving around the regulation and dysregulation of the human genome, addressing multiple diseases such as leukemia, aging, and neurodegeneration.

Eligibility/Qualification
Minimum Qualifications
- MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
- No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. from an accredited institution.
- Expertise in proteomics.
- Good publication record.
- Efficient time management skills.
- Strong work ethic.
- Excellent scientific writing skills.
- Ability to lead in writing and publishing scientific articles.
- Passion for solving unanswered biochemical questions using proteomics.
