Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in Chemistry, Material Science, Surface Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Established expertise in ALD/MLD or Atomic Layer Etching (ALE).
- Strong record of patents/publications.
Job Description:
- Engage in the application of novel organic materials in atomic and molecular layer deposition and semiconductor manufacturing.
- Parametrize MLD deposition of novel surfactants, focusing on creating crosslinked/networked (polymeric) thin films.
- Operate and maintain a home-built hot-walled cross-flow ALD reactor and a commercial laboratory scale ALD tool.
- Train junior researchers on ALD techniques and equipment.
- Utilize facilities such as Surface Science Western and the Western Nanofabrication Facility, including XPS, ToF-SIMS, and electron microscopy.
- Communicate effectively with team members and industry partners through the preparation of manuscripts, research reports, and presentations.
