Postdoctoral Associate in Bioengineering: The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine in Farmington, Connecticut, is seeking a skilled Postdoctoral Associate with expertise in bioengineering for cutting-edge biological research. This role, led by Sasan Jalili and Paul Robson Labs, involves utilizing 3D bioprinting to replicate healthy and diseased human organs using patient-derived organoids and cell lines. The successful candidate will contribute to independent and collaborative research projects, working alongside a multidisciplinary team to advance functional organ-level tissues integrated with organ-on-chip platforms.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Ph.D. in biomedical sciences, biomedical engineering, or a related field
  • Strong expertise in cell and tissue engineering
  • Background in biomedical engineering, biomaterials, bioprinting, immunoengineering, or cell biology
  • Experience in microfabrication, 3D printing/bioprinting, biomaterials fabrication, and host-microbiome interactions preferred
  • At least one 1st author publication record in peer-reviewed journals related to bioprinting
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively
    Job Description:
    As a Postdoctoral Associate, your responsibilities include:
  • Conducting independent and collaborative research projects using 3D bioprinting techniques to replicate human organs
  • Integrating bioprinting work with organ-on-chip platforms to develop advanced functional organ-level tissues
  • Collaborating with professionals in bioengineering, biology, immunology, microbiology, and clinical research across various institutions
  • Spearheading projects applying cutting-edge technologies such as microfabrication, organoid culture, microbiome sequencing, and single-cell transcriptomics
