Job Description:
The Nwosu Lab at Cornell University is offering two Postdoctoral Associate positions for enthusiastic researchers interested in investigating cancer metabolism, specifically focusing on the role of glutathione (GSH) in pancreatic cancer. The project spans multidisciplinary contexts, including connections to the tumor microenvironment/immunology, tumor subtypes, transcriptional and epigenetic regulation, and therapeutic resistance. Utilizing cell lines and mouse models, successful candidates will mechanistically determine how GSH promotes cancer and study the impact of targeting the GSH pathway on tumor growth. In addition to conducting research, postdocs will be encouraged to participate in career development activities within and outside the university. Salaries are set at the NIH rate.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in relevant life sciences field
  • Experience in cell culture, cloning/molecular techniques, and mouse work
  • Basic knowledge of cancer biology
  • Experience in cancer research and bioinformatics analysis is desirable
