Postdoctoral Associate in Cancer Research: Join the Yang Laboratory at Stony Brook University’s Department of Pathology and Cancer Center to contribute to cutting-edge proteomics research in cancer metastasis. We are seeking a dedicated Postdoctoral Associate with expertise in experimental design, proteomics, and data analysis to further our understanding of RIPK2’s role in prostate cancer metastasis.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Doctoral Degree in Biochemistry or closely related field by August 15th, 2023
  • Proficiency in experimental design, mammalian cell culture, drug treatment, western blotting, data analysis, and result reporting

Job Description: The Postdoctoral Associate will:

  • Collaborate with Principal Investigator Dr. Wei Yang on cancer metastasis research
  • Utilize state-of-the-art proteomics techniques to explore RIPK2’s roles and mechanisms in prostate cancer metastasis
  • Perform discovery proteomics, phosphoproteomics, and palmitoyl-proteomics experiments
  • Conduct targeted proteomics for quantification of RIPK2 pathway signature proteins
  • Analyze data, contribute to manuscript writing, and potentially assist in grant writing
  • Maintain lab equipment, order supplies, and assist in lab management
  • Attend scientific conferences and meetings as needed
