Job Description
The Postdoctoral Associate will be responsible for:
- Conducting fieldwork to record communication signals in natural habitats and comparing observations with laboratory findings.
- Utilizing electroretinography (ERG) and optical coherence tomography (OCT) to measure sensory reception in various organisms (e.g., fireflies and crickets).
- Developing mathematical models to integrate empirical data and simulate signal evolution.
- Analyzing data using AI/ML or statistical toolkits (Python, MATLAB, R) and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of scientists.
