Postdoctoral Associate – Medical Humanities: The Medical Humanities Research Institute at Rice University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate position for the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Sawyer Seminar, “Reimagining Technologies of Care: Racial Health Equity and Data Justice.” This full-time, residential fellowship is for the period from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025, with a competitive salary, benefits, and the opportunity for a second year pending funding.

Job Description:

Postdoctoral Associate – Medical Humanities Research Institute

The selected candidate will actively participate in the “Reimagining Technologies of Care” Sawyer Seminar, contributing to discussions, conducting specialized research, mentoring junior team members, and teaching one course each semester related to the seminar’s theme. The fellow will collaborate with interdisciplinary faculty, engage with local health organizations, and contribute to the institute’s mission of integrating humanities into healthcare technologies and data justice.
