Postdoctoral Associate (Multiple Vacancies): Rutgers University is seeking motivated scholars for the position of Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Eligibility/Qualification

  • Minimum Education and Experience:
  • PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related fields.
  • Candidates in ABD (All But Degree) status will also be considered.
  • Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong background in in vivo metabolic tracing, metabolomics, and mouse work.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a research team.
  • A strong publication record and a keen interest in metabolic regulation in heart disease.

Job Description

The primary responsibilities of the Postdoctoral Associate include but are not limited to:

  • Designing and leading research projects focused on in vivo metabolic tracing in mouse models.
  • Performing metabolomic analyses to investigate metabolic pathways relevant to cardiac health.
  • Engaging in scientific communication, training junior personnel, and contributing to grant writing and manuscript preparation.
  • Overseeing mouse model work, maintaining accurate records of experimental results.
  • Collaborating on evaluating current procedures, proposing new methods or improvements.
  • Contributing to the development of research methodologies and the selection of instrumentation for metabolic studies.
  • Presenting research findings at national conferences and preparing manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications.
