Eligibility / Qualification
- Required: Ph.D. degree with a major in Biological Sciences (including medicinal/pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, neuroscience) or a related discipline.
- Preferred: At least 2 years of research experience in the field of neuroscience.
Job Description & Duties
- Research Responsibilities (70%):
- Design and perform cell culture and cell-based assays.
- Conduct enzymatic reactions.
- Perform mouse experiments including drug administration, behavioral and biochemical assessments, and immunohistochemistry.
- Utilize various types of microscopy.
- Conduct computational and experimental screening of compound libraries.
- Writing Responsibilities (15%):
- Submit periodic written reports detailing experimental procedures and results.
- Write scientific manuscripts for research publication.
- Participate in writing grant proposals.
- Other Responsibilities (15%):
- Maintain laboratory safety practices and follow/update relevant protocols.
- Maintain an updated knowledge base of project-related literature.
- Assist in the organization and maintenance of laboratory equipment and facilities.
