Job Description
The successful candidate will be involved in:
- Designing future experiments to measure Double Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering at Jefferson Lab, utilizing the SoLID spectrometer and a dedicated setup in Hall C.
- Developing GEANT4 simulations and making physics projections.
- Collaborating closely with postdocs, students, and external collaborators.
- Analyzing data in support of the Generalized Parton Distributions program, particularly for candidates with experience in the GlueX collaboration.
Eligibility/Qualification
- Required:
- PhD in Experimental Nuclear Physics (obtained by the appointment start date).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Good record of research articles, conference presentations, and contributions to peer-reviewed papers.
- Proficiency in Linux and programming languages such as C/C++/Fortran.
- Experience with GEANT4 simulations and/or data analysis.
- Preferred:
- Prior experience with Jefferson Lab experiments.
- Postdoctoral Associate applicants must have earned their PhD within the last 4 years.
- Senior Research Associate applicants must have a PhD and at least 4 years of prior postdoctoral experience.
