Postdoctoral Associate – SOCKS Project: The University of Vermont invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate position (PD2 – 5) affiliated with the Science of Online Corpora, Knowledge, and Stories (SOCKS) project.   • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively

Job Description: The postdoctoral associate will:

  • Utilize Natural Language Processing methods to analyze large-scale corpora
  • Measure signals of belief and belief propagation in textual data
  • Identify social networks in diverse communities represented in text
  • Develop theoretically rigorous computational models to understand network dynamics
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, engaging with practitioners and subject matter experts
  • Communicate research results effectively

This two-year position offers an annual salary commensurate with experience, professional development, training, and support for attending academic conferences.
