Postdoctoral Associate: Soil Nutrients & Hydrology: The University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate to engage in a USDA grant-funded research project focused on soil nutrients and hydrology within the Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA) in South Florida.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- A PhD (or foreign equivalent) in Soil Science, Agronomy, Agriculture and Biological Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Candidates must be supportive of the mission of the Land-Grant system and committed to UF core values.
- Preferred experience includes soil health indexing, hydrologic modeling, and geospatial tools.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will coordinate and conduct long-term field and watershed-scale hydrological and geospatial research. Responsibilities include:
- Managing field monitoring using sensors and direct sampling techniques (soil and water samples, flow measurements).
- Overseeing logistics for field and lab data collection, including sensor design and troubleshooting.
- Conducting hydrologic modeling, particularly using the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT).
- Collaborating effectively with students, postdocs, industry partners, and the public.
- Ensuring data quality control and management, and contributing to team coordination and methods development.
