Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in Materials Science, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline completed within the last 5 years.
- Prior graduate coursework or research in a related discipline.
- Proven capability in a related research category.
- An excellent record of productive and creative research, evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to mentor graduate and undergraduate students and manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
- Must currently reside in the U.S. with the ability to relocate to Maine.
Job Description:
The purpose of this position is to further prepare the individual for a career in research while working collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students at the Advanced Structures and Composites Center and various academic departments at the University of Maine. Responsibilities include conducting research, publishing findings, and contributing to the mentorship of students.
