Postdoctoral Computational Biology: The Cavalli Lab at Institut Curie invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position focused on the study of treatment resistance in pediatric brain tumors. Eligibility/Qualification

  • Recent PhD in Bioinformatics, Statistics, or Computer Science with a passion for Biology.
  • Demonstrated creativity in developing analytic strategies.
  • Strong knowledge in genomics, cancer biology, and statistics.
  • Proven scientific accomplishments through peer-reviewed publications.
  • Excellent computational skills and experience in a Unix environment.
  • Proficient in statistical analysis using R.
  • Experience with high-throughput sequencing data analysis.
  • Desirable experience in single-cell RNA-seq analysis.
  • Proficiency in English and excellent scientific writing skills.
  • Understanding of cancer cell biology and collaborative experience with biologists is a plus.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a scientific project focusing on tumor heterogeneity and treatment resistance.
  • Perform comprehensive data analysis including quality control, processing, results visualization, and interpretation.
  • Analyze single-cell RNA-seq and single-nucleus ChIP-seq datasets.
  • Conduct high-dimensional data analysis and integrative ‘omic’ analyses.
  • Develop and implement methods to investigate treatment resistance mechanisms.

Training and Skills Required:

  • Strong analytical and computational foundations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Effective communication skills for interactions with clinicians and biologists.
