Eligibility/Qualification

  • Ph.D. holders in relevant fields:
  • Chemistry or related fields for the Toxic Elements group.
  • Science (Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Biology, Agricultural Science, or similar) for the Pesticides group.
  • Completion of Ph.D. between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2024.
  • Candidates must apply to join a different R&D center than where they completed their pre-doctoral training.
  • Publications: A strong record of high-impact scientific publications, ideally with first-author contributions.

Job Description

Soil and Water Contamination by Toxic Elements Group

  • Focus on the purification of water contaminated with toxic elements, specifically using composite materials based on modified clays and metal oxides.
  • Training will cover a range of topics including geomaterial synthesis techniques, material characterization techniques, and adsorption/desorption processes related to water purification and raw material recovery.

Soil and Water Contamination by Pesticides Group

  • Work on pesticide/emerging contaminant dynamics in agricultural soils.
  • Engage in modeling and predicting soil and water contamination under sustainable management practices.
  • Conduct evaluations on the impact of organic amendments on soil health and pesticide dynamics, and study effects on soil microbial communities.
