Eligibility/Qualification
- Required: PhD in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field. Candidates must have completed their Ph.D. or will have it completed by the start of employment.
- Preferred: Research experience in:
- Fabrication of gas-phase packed bed reactors
- NMR spectroscopy (e.g., 1H, 11B, 15N)
- X-ray diffraction
- ICP-OES
- In situ diffuse reflectance infrared spectroscopy (DRIFTS)
- Temperature programmed desorption
- Probe molecule chemisorption (e.g., CO or H2 pulsed chemisorption)
- Transmission electron microscopy
- Catalyst synthesis
Job Description
The Postdoctoral Fellow will work under the mentorship of a senior faculty member, enhancing their research capabilities in catalysts, including zeolites and supported metal nanoparticles. The fellow will be expected to conduct research on measuring reaction rates in gas-phase reactors. Initial appointments are for one year, with renewal based on research productivity and funding.
