Eligibility/Qualification:
- Essential:
- PhD in Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, or in the final stages of their PhD submission.
- Strong expertise in advanced confocal and/or light sheet imaging.
- Proficient in quantitative image analysis techniques.
- Excellent molecular biology skills.
- Strong interest in interdisciplinary research approaches.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Record of publications/preprints in the relevant field.
- Desirable:
- Understanding of tissue morphogenesis/mechanics.
- Experience with biophysical tools.
- Familiarity with zebrafish embryological techniques and gene editing.
Job Description:
This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 4 years, extendable up to 6 years. The successful candidate will engage in collaborative research to investigate key questions in heart development, specifically focusing on the morphogenesis and mechanics of the myocardial structures. The role encompasses leading individual projects, guiding PhD students, and contributing to a positive lab environment.
