Eligibility-
| Essential Qualification/Experience as per the norms | Applicants must have a good academic record (with minimum of 60% or equivalent grade from Graduation onwards and 55% or equivalent grade in class 10th and 12th). Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics with specialization in Condensed Matter Physics or Statistical Physics. Candidates who have submitted their thesis are also eligible to apply. |
| Desirable Qualification/Experience | Preference will be given to applicants with a strong research track record in theoretical condensed matter physics focusing on strongly correlated quantum systems and with experience of using many-body techniques (analytical or numerical). |

| Job Description | The selected candidate will join the theoretical condensed matter research group of Prof. Abhisek Samanta at IIT Gandhinagar. The candidate will also collaborate with the experimental condensed matter group of Prof. Gopinadhan Kalon at IIT Gandhinagar. The project focuses on studying the roles of strong correlations, disorder, and multiband effects in nonlinear Hall phenomena in topological materials such as Weyl semimetals. The research involves the use of advanced quantum field-theoretical techniques as well as numerical methods. In addition, the candidate will participate in teaching and other academic activities in accordance with institute norms. | ||
