The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) is seeking highly motivated research fellows for a Postdoctoral Fellow position. The successful candidate will explore the cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in fibrosis, with a specific focus on pulmonary fibrosis and related fibrotic disorders.

Eligibility / Qualification
- Experience with cellular and molecular biology techniques is required.
- Preferred experience in studying animal models of pulmonary and liver fibrosis, fibroblast biology, immunology, lung organoids, precision cut lung slices, single-cell RNA sequencing, and analysis of RNAseq data.
- Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
- Open to U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and foreign nationals (with some restrictions).
Job Description
The candidate will engage in scientific projects to:
- Investigate the molecular mechanisms contributing to pulmonary fibrosis of various etiologies.
- Test novel therapeutic agents and therapeutic modalities developed in-house using experimental models of lung fibrosis.
