Postdoctoral Fellow- Cancer Lab: IRB Barcelona, a Severo Ochoa Centre of Excellence, is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher for the Colorectal Cancer Lab to contribute to the MACH3CANCER research network. The focus is on applying high-throughput 3D live imaging technology to investigate tumor cell plasticity and drug resistance. Postdoctoral Fellow for the Colorectal Cancer Lab (ref. PD/24/03)

Location: IRB Barcelona, Barcelona Science Park, Spain
Eligibility/Qualification: PhD in a relevant field.
Description: The selected candidate will work on the MACH3CANCER project, utilizing advanced microscopy tools for 3D live imaging and exploring tumor cell plasticity and drug resistance. The research involves longitudinal live cell imaging assays, sophisticated phenotypic endpoints, and the development of high-content analysis instrumentation. The project is funded by CRUK-AECC and carried out in the Batlle Lab and the Advanced Digital Microscopy Core Facility.
Duties:
- Conduct independent research using advanced microscopy in organoid research.
- Standardize microscopy workflows for organoid screening across European facilities.
- Develop or utilize bioimage analysis assays for single-cell analysis in large 3D image datasets.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills:
- PhD with experience in microscopy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Organizational skills for experimental bench-work.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
