Eligibility/Qualification
Basic Qualifications
- PhD in Computational Genetics, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Statistics, or a closely related field. Summer and fall graduates are encouraged to apply.
- High degree of statistical and mathematical competency.
- Extensive experience in programming and data analysis, specifically fluency in R and/or Python.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to work within timelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with genome-wide association studies and/or molecular QTL analysis.
- Familiarity with database queries and technologies for handling large datasets (e.g., SQL, Neo4J, Spark, Hadoop).
- A record of scientific achievement, including publications.
Job Description
The Postdoctoral Fellow will:
- Develop new computational approaches to generate insights into disease biology from large datasets.
- Create strategies to benchmark computational methods against clinically successful drugs.
- Identify predictive factors of drug success using diverse genetic and functional evidence layers.
- Generate, maintain, and document project code repositories.
- Collaborate with technical experts to facilitate scientific achievement and effectively communicate research methods and results.
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at scientific conferences.
