Postdoctoral Research Fellow for Interfacing Soft Matter and Biomedical Research
Designation: Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Research Area: Soft materials research within the Sustainable Biomedical and Toxicological Research (SUSBIO) project.
Location: Tampere University, Finland
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Applicable doctoral degree in materials science, chemistry, cell biology, or molecular biology related to soft materials.
- Proven ability to supervise M.Sc. and Ph.D. students is advantageous.
- Competence in meeting responsibilities identified in laboratory and ethical guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (both written and oral) are essential.
Job Description:
- Develop soft materials and sustainable research methods for biomedical and toxicological studies.
- Collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine and Health Technology (MET) and the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (ENS) is expected.
- Determine and address research topics aligning with the SUSBIO project’s key areas.
- Conduct data analysis, write publications and research reports, and apply for funding.
- Collaborate with research colleagues, support staff, and external networks.
- Provide guidance and support to students and contribute to relevant teaching activities.
- Participate in scientific meetings.
