Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD degree or equivalent in neuroscience, biomedicine, or a related field (must be completed at the time of employment decision).
- Proven ability to conduct high-quality research.
- Strong pedagogical ability and good communication skills.
- Proficient in English (spoken and written).
- Documented experience working with research animals.
- Experience with statistical analysis.
Meritorious:
- Recent graduates (degree completed within the last three years).
- Publications related to the glymphatic system.
- LAS certification for working with animals within the EU.
- Experience in writing animal ethics applications.
- Documented experience with intraparenchymal injections.
Job Description:
The postdoctoral researcher will:
- Test and optimize a new strategy for real-time brain clearance assays.
- Evaluate drugs using streptavidin-based fluorescence detection.
- Independently develop and validate clearance pathways.
- Conduct fluorescence measurements and prepare brain sections for analysis.
- Collaborate with Nordic partner laboratories and participate in meetings.
- Apply for necessary animal ethics permits.
- Contribute to ongoing research projects.
