Postdoctoral Fellow (Geomechanics): The University of Texas Institute for Geophysics (UTIG) invites applications for a Postdoctoral position in Geomechanics. UTIG, part of the Jackson School of Geosciences at The University of Texas at Austin, is renowned for research excellence in geophysics, integrative science efforts, and international field programs. This position offers the opportunity to work on laboratory experimentation in rock mechanics and fluid flow in porous media or the analysis and modeling of drilling, geodetic, or seismological data.

Job Description: The Postdoctoral Fellow will conduct research focused on laboratory experimentation and/or analysis of geophysical and drilling data, emphasizing deformation and fluid flow in Earth materials. Responsibilities include developing independent research projects, co-mentoring students if desired, and contributing to research within a diverse group focusing on geofluids, geomechanics, and tectonics.
