Postdoctoral Fellow: Immunology and Nanomedicine: The University of Basel’s Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, an Academic Drug Discovery & Development Center, seeks a PhD-level scientist specializing in immunology and nanomedicine formulations to join the Nanopharmaceutical and Regulatory Science Group (NRSG) starting on 1st February 2024.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in a related field (immunology, pharmacy, biology, or medicine)
  • Training/experience with the humoral immune response
  • Preferred: Experience in nanomedicine
  • Fluent in English

Job Description: The postdoctoral position involves investigating the interactions of lipid-based nanoparticles, particularly liposome-encapsulated proteins, with the immune system. The focus is on evaluating and comparing the anti-drug antibody (ADA) response between liposome-encapsulated proteins and the free/unencapsulated protein. The successful candidate will actively collaborate with colleagues in academia and the pharmaceutical industry. The research emphasizes translational and regulatory sciences, with the goal of quickly advancing resulting drug products into clinical trials.
