Postdoctoral Fellow in Biochemistry: The Haucke lab (www.leibniz-fmp.de/haucke) is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow in biochemistry and/or structural biology to contribute to the analysis of molecular architecture and function of protein complexes controlling membrane and organelle dynamics in the endolysosomal system. The lab focuses on understanding these processes in health and disease, supported by grants including the European Research Council (ERC) and the German National Funding Agency (DFG).

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Ph.D. in a relevant area (e.g., biochemistry, structural biology, biophysics)
  • Strong track record in biochemistry or structural biology
  • Proven experience in protein purification, structural studies, and/or proteomics
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • High personal motivation to excel in science

Job Description: The successful candidate will join a collaborative team in a vibrant scientific environment. Responsibilities include contributing to research projects, leveraging biochemical/structural biological, genetic, and cell biological approaches. The candidate is expected to excel in science and have expertise in protein purification, structural studies, and/or proteomics.

Research Environment: The Leibniz Forschungsinstitut für Molekulare Pharmakologie (FMP) is a non-university research institute conducting basic research in molecular pharmacology.
