The Bardy lab at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) is seeking Postdoctoral Fellows with a strong background and interest in bioinformatics, electrophysiology, and human neurobiology. The lab focuses on modeling human neurological disorders using patient-derived brain tissue, with a primary focus on electro-pharmaceutics for Parkinson’s disease, childhood-onset dementia, and brain cancer. Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD or equivalent in a relevant field
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong track record in bioinformatics, electrophysiology, or human neurobiology
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative team and supervise research students
  • Attention to detail and scientific research integrity
  • Ability to complete tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines
  • Ability to contribute innovative publications in high-impact scientific journals

Job Description:

The Postdoctoral Fellow will be responsible for discovering and evaluating electro-pharmaceutics for Parkinson’s disease, childhood-onset dementia, and brain cancer. The candidate will work in a collaborative and vibrant team using state-of-the-art equipment and will have opportunities to innovate stem cell biotechnologies to model the human brain in vitro. Mentoring for career progression will be provided.
