Postdoctoral Fellow in Clinical Exposomics: Emory University’s Comprehensive Laboratory for Untargeted Exposome Science (CLUES) invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow to support the ARPA-H funded project, IndiPHARM: Individual Metabolome and Exposome Assessment for Pharmaceutical Optimization. The successful candidate will work on developing cutting-edge pharmacoexposomics technologies and untargeted profiling methods for clinical applications. Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. or equivalent in engineering, mass spectrometry, analytical chemistry, or related fields.
- Prior experience with LC-MS method development is required.
- Familiarity with untargeted analysis methods, computational tools (e.g., R, Python), and scripting languages is preferred.
- Candidates must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, strong quantitative laboratory skills, and good organizational abilities.
Job Description:
The postdoctoral fellow will:
- Optimize robotic sample preparation methods to handle high-throughput biological sample processing.
- Develop rapid (<3-min) LC-HRMS methods for detecting exogenous and endogenous molecules.
- Operate and maintain Thermo Vanquish Duo LC with Exploris120 HRMS systems.
- Perform sample analysis, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), and troubleshoot as needed.
- Conduct chemical identification analysis using MS/MS, standardization, and creation of metabolite databases.
- Summarize and interpret exposome data for grant applications and manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary consortium of academic and clinical partners.
