Postdoctoral Fellow in Computational Biomechanics: The Cardiovascular Innovation Research Center (CIRC) and the Pediatric and Adult Congenital Heart Center (PACHC) at Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow in computational cardiovascular biomechanics. The CIRC is dedicated to translating cutting-edge technologies, including advanced imaging, computational modeling, artificial intelligence, 3D printing, and medical device design, into clinical applications for advancing human health. The PACHC is renowned for its expertise in clinical and research cardiovascular MRI, cardiac CT, cardiac anatomy, and congenital heart disease, with a focus on pre-surgical planning and surgical personalization using advanced imaging.
Summary Table:
- Designation: Postdoctoral Fellow
- Research Area: Computational Cardiovascular Biomechanics
- Location: Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA
- Eligibility: PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
- Experience: Prior experience in fluid-structure interaction (FSI) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling
Job Description: The Postdoctoral Fellow will be involved in patient-specific modeling of pediatric and adult congenital heart disease, as well as adult cardiovascular disease. The research will focus on studying disease progression, surgical methods, treatment planning and personalization, and medical device development using computational techniques.
