The successful candidate will be part of the BlueRemediomics consortium, focusing on harnessing the marine microbiome for sustainable biogenics and ecosystem services. This role involves conducting research on metabolic interactions in marine microbial communities using multi-omics, bioinformatics, and modeling approaches. The research aims to unlock natural sources for biological products applicable to agriculture, bioremediation, pharmaceuticals, and more.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. degree or equivalent working experience in bioinformatics, computational biology, biostatistics, or related subjects.
- Experience with high-throughput sequencing and analysis of large-scale metagenomics or metatranscriptomics datasets.
- Proficiency in data analysis, statistics, and visualization using Python or R.
- Interest in collaborative projects within a large scientific consortium.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, bridging life sciences and informatics.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English.
Job Description: The Postdoctoral Fellow will:
- Conduct independent research and collaborate within the BlueRemediomics consortium.
- Investigate metabolic interactions in marine microbial communities using multi-omics data and metabolic modeling.
- Work on the rational discovery of novel bioactives, habitat specialists, and metabolic functions.
- Design synthetic communities to optimize specific metabolic functions, such as compound production or degradation.
