Postdoctoral Fellow in Data Science: The Human Integrative Physiology Laboratory at the Centre EPIC of the Montreal Heart Institute is seeking a highly qualified Postdoctoral Fellow to lead data-driven research aimed at identifying indoor heat thresholds that compromise the health and well-being of older adults. This funded position offers the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team of experts in thermal physiology, public health, and engineering.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Educational Background: Ph.D. in Engineering, Technology, Physics, or a related field with extensive training in data science.
- Skills and Experience:
- Strong track record in data science (e.g., open-source code contributions, peer-reviewed publications).
- Expertise in time series data analysis, including cleaning, exploration, feature selection, model training/testing, and visualization.
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., R, Python) and tools (e.g., Git/GitHub, pandas, NumPy, dplyr, Matplotlib, ggplot2).
- Statistical skills and familiarity with modeling tools (e.g., SciPy, caret, lme4).
- Additional expertise in data acquisition, database management (e.g., AWS), machine learning, or data visualization tools (e.g., d3.js, plotly) is an asset.
- Proficiency in French is not required but will be considered an advantage.
Job Description:
The Postdoctoral Fellow will:
- Lead the analysis and interpretation of large datasets.
- Collaborate with an international, multidisciplinary team.
- Contribute to funded research projects focused on thermal thresholds affecting older adults’ health.
- Engage in statistical modeling, data visualization, and dissemination of research findings.
- Manage data pipelines and maintain high-quality research documentation.
