Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Environmental Health

Designation: Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Research Area: Environmental Health, Pathogen Exposure Reduction through Microbial Community Lens

Location: Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Department of Environmental Health

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Hold a Ph.D. in environmental health, environmental engineering, computational/molecular biology, or a related field
  • Experience with laboratory or bioinformatic methods
  • Prior mentoring and collaborative experience preferred

Job Description:

  • Research projects include wastewater surveillance for bacterial/fungal targets, studying pathogens in open sewage canals, microbiome engineering to reduce healthcare-associated infections, and examining changes in built environment microbiology post extreme weather events.
  • Lead and launch various ongoing projects.
  • Mentor PhD and MPH students, contribute to collaborative research initiatives.
  • Participate in grant writing and career development activities.
