Eligibility/Qualification:
Candidates must hold a PhD in one of the following fields:

  • Molecular Biology/Stem Cell Biology with experience in organoids, stem cell culture, and differentiation, OR
  • Biophysics/Engineering with expertise in tissue mechanics, advanced imaging, or 3D bioprinting.

Additional qualifications:

  • Passion for interdisciplinary research.
  • Problem-solving skills, both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication skills in English.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will engage in an interdisciplinary project focusing on:

  • Investigating the influence of mechanical forces on stem cell behavior and tissue plasticity in healthy and IBD-affected intestines.
  • Developing 3D-printed synthetic intestinal scaffolds tailored to patient-specific properties.
  • Utilizing state-of-the-art tools such as SHG microscopy and nanoindentation.
  • Collaborating with a diverse research team to bridge biophysics and stem cell biology.
