Eligibility/Qualification:
Candidates must hold a PhD in one of the following fields:
- Molecular Biology/Stem Cell Biology with experience in organoids, stem cell culture, and differentiation, OR
- Biophysics/Engineering with expertise in tissue mechanics, advanced imaging, or 3D bioprinting.
Additional qualifications:
- Passion for interdisciplinary research.
- Problem-solving skills, both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication skills in English.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will engage in an interdisciplinary project focusing on:
- Investigating the influence of mechanical forces on stem cell behavior and tissue plasticity in healthy and IBD-affected intestines.
- Developing 3D-printed synthetic intestinal scaffolds tailored to patient-specific properties.
- Utilizing state-of-the-art tools such as SHG microscopy and nanoindentation.
- Collaborating with a diverse research team to bridge biophysics and stem cell biology.
