Research Area
The focus of this research will be on improving immune signals released by damaged breast cancer cells post-radiation therapy, with the aim of enhancing patient responses to treatment.

Job Description
The Postdoctoral Fellow will:
- Investigate mechanisms to enhance immune system responses in breast cancer patients undergoing radiation therapy.
- Focus research on mitochondrial signaling and the role of mitochondrial DNA in anti-cancer immunity.
- Study two main strategies: using venetoclax to increase cancer cell sensitivity to radiation and inhibiting the cleanup of damaged mitochondria to prolong immune stimulation.
- Collaborate closely with Dr. Lorenzo Galluzzi and other team members in the Cancer Signaling and Microenvironment Research Program.
- Participate in the fellowship application process, which includes developing multi-year research proposals, providing letters of recommendation, and outlining career goals.
