Research Area
This position involves investigating how innate immune cells, specifically macrophages and dendritic cells, adapt to different tissues, including changes in their immunometabolism. The project will be financed by the ERC Starting Grant project “Studying the metabolism and function of myeloid dendritic cells and neutrophils in distinct tissues in health and aging (MyTissue).”
Job Description
Duties:
- Lead and organize research projects in collaboration with the Principal Investigator (PI).
- Conduct high-quality research with team members and report findings in group meetings.
- Engage in training for junior researchers in the group.
- Collaborate on writing manuscripts with the PI.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills:
- Must Have:
- Education: PhD in biomedicine or biosciences (ideally completed within the last two years).
- Skills: Highly motivated, collaborative, organized, and responsible individual with fluency in written and spoken English.
- Desirable:
- Experience in research on innate immune cells and/or cellular metabolism.
- Familiarity with flow cytometry, mouse models, primary human tissue, cell culture, bioinformatics tools, and molecular biology techniques (including cloning and CRISPR).
