Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computational Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely related fields.
- Doctoral degree awarded no more than five years prior to the application deadline is preferred; special considerations apply for earlier degrees with valid reasons.
- Experience with EEG and/or fMRI data.
- Strong programming skills, preferably in Python.
- Background in machine learning; knowledge of multimodal data integration, deep learning, or brain-computer interfaces is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
- Ability to work independently and in interdisciplinary teams.
Job Description
The selected candidates will participate in a two-year research project exploring the decoding of inner speech using multimodal EEG and fMRI data. Responsibilities include:
- Analyzing unique bimodal datasets to study the temporal and spatial aspects of inner speech.
- Applying cutting-edge machine learning techniques, including deep neural networks and graph-based models.
- Investigating optimal data fusion approaches for enhanced inner speech decoding frameworks.
- Collaborating within a diverse team focused on cognitive neuroscience and artificial intelligence.
