Postdoctoral Fellow in Materials Chemistry: Stockholm University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Materials Chemistry within the Department of Chemistry. Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent.
  • PhD should have been obtained within 5 years before the application deadline.
  • Strong background in porous carbon materials, electrochemistry, and CO2 catalysis is required.
  • Experience with supervising students is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills in English (both written and spoken) are essential.
  • Applicants should be team players and have the ability to work in a multidisciplinary group.

Job Description:
The Postdoctoral Fellow will be responsible for:

  • Synthesizing and characterizing novel carbonaceous electrochemical catalysts.
  • Applying these catalysts in electrochemical CO2 conversion, focusing on CO2 capture and reduction reactions.
  • Conducting advanced synthetic strategies and employing characterization methods such as X-ray, neutron diffraction, and electron microscopy.
  • Maintaining electrochemical setups for the project.

This scholarship is part of a broader project aimed at developing new materials for sustainable energy solutions.
