Job Description:
The newly-founded Molecular Mechanisms of Symbiosis Lab at the Institute of Environmental Sciences, Jagiellonian University, Krakow, Poland, is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join its team. The successful candidate will work on the 5-year ERC Starting Grant Mechano-Wolbachia to discover the molecular mechanisms of Wolbachia-conferred antiviral protection. The project involves characterizing the protection at the level of individual Drosophila tissues and determining the function of Wolbachia genes putatively involved in protection. The candidate will work closely with a PhD student to determine the transcriptional profiles of different tissues, cell lines, and molecular biology.
Salary: Competitive salary of 3,500 EUR/month (employment costs and taxes apply)
