Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Neuroscience, Molecular Biology, Omics, or related fields
  • Strong skills in neuroscience, molecular biology, and/or bioinformatics
  • Passion for innovation and understanding brain circuits
  • Candidates from diverse backgrounds, including underrepresented or minority groups, are strongly encouraged to apply

Job Description:

The successful candidate will join the Kebschull Lab to:

  • Develop new viral and sequencing-based connectomics tools for mapping single-cell or multi-synaptic connectivity in mice and other model systems (NHPs, songbirds, reptiles, amphibians)
  • Apply these tools to investigate fundamental questions in systems neuroscience, aging, neurodegenerative diseases, and drugs of abuse
  • Contribute to ongoing research on brain organization and circuitry using methods such as MAPseq, BRICseq, and BARseq
  • Collaborate with a team of researchers dedicated to understanding the vertebrate brain’s structure, function, and evolution
