Eligibility/Qualification
Requirements:
- A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree (must be completed by the time of employment decision).
- Doctoral degree in nuclear engineering, engineering mechanics, or related fields.
- Experience with reactor thermal hydraulics and safety analyses.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree obtained within the last three years.
- Knowledge and experience with reactor thermohydraulics and severe accident codes.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Motivation and dedication to research.
- Teaching experience is considered an advantage.
- Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, particularly gender equality.
Job Description
The selected candidates will engage in extensive research focused on:
- Analyzing the reliability of passive safety systems in small modular reactors.
- Conducting thorough analyses of severe accidents and their potential consequences.
- Collaborating in large European projects and national initiatives supported by the Swedish Nuclear Regulator (SSM).
