Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD in Biology, (Bio)medical Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or equivalent.
  • Exceptional candidates without a doctoral degree may be considered based on scientific merit.
  • Research experience must include:
  • At least 24 months of international experience within the last 3 years, not working or studying in Belgium (short-term stays allowed).
  • Proven scientific track record evidenced by relevant publications.
  • Experience in computational analysis of single cell and/or transcriptomics data using R/Python.

Job Description

The postdoctoral fellow will be involved in a collaborative project focused on ฮณฮด T cell differentiation in the human thymus using cutting-edge technologies such as CRISPR/Cas9, flow cytometry, and in vitro organoid cultures. This includes:

  • Analyzing multimodal single-cell data (CITE-seq, scATAC-seq) and spatial transcriptomics.
  • Collaborating with experts in prenatal ฮณฮด T cell development.
  • A strong enthusiasm for fundamental research, particularly in the molecular genetics of lymphocyte development.
  • Ability to work as part of a team while also having the initiative for independent research.
