Research Area
The Llorens laboratory specializes in the intersection of stem cell biology, systems biology, molecular engineering, and computational biology, specifically aiming to stimulate regeneration in the mammalian CNS. The lab applies advanced spatially-resolved multi-omics methods to explore cellular plasticity and repair mechanisms following injury and aging.
Eligibility/Qualification
- Recent PhD or equivalent degree in a relevant field
- Strong background in molecular biology techniques
- Experience with next-generation sequencing technologies
- Competency in bioinformatics, particularly spatial transcriptomics and epigenomics
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (R or Python) for data analysis
- Documented ability to manage and execute independent research projects
Job Description
The selected candidate will:
- Develop and apply spatial genomics technologies to investigate tissue organization during CNS development and repair.
- Explore the mechanisms of gene regulation that affect CNS pathology.
- Collaborate with various experts within the research community at Karolinska Institute to enhance research quality and expand knowledge.
