Postdoctoral Fellow – Innate Cells: The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Innate Cells and Th2 Immunity Section (ICTIS) within the Laboratory of Allergic Diseases. This fellowship will focus on investigating fundamental mechanisms underlying airway allergic inflammation using advanced mouse models and innovative research techniques.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Required:
  • Ph.D. or M.D. with less than five years of postdoctoral experience
  • Previous experience in immunology, molecular biology, or cellular biology
  • Preferred:
  • Knowledge in immunology, in vivo animal models, flow cytometry, single-cell analysis, or genome-wide analyses of gene expression
  • Excellent writing and communication skills

Job Description

The successful candidate will conduct cutting-edge research on the interactions between innate and adaptive immune cells in the context of allergic responses. Responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing conditional knockout murine models to investigate immune responses
  • Employing multi-color flow cytometry, microscopy, RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq), and single-cell technologies
  • Analyzing data to advance understanding of airway allergic inflammation
  • Collaborating with a team of researchers and contributing to scientific publications
