Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Education: PhD in life sciences (preferably computational biology, genomics, statistics, or a related field)
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical and programming skills (preferably in Python and R)
  • Significant experience in computational genomics (ideally in cancer genomics)
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficient communication skills in English
  • Experience in Unix-based environments and high-performance computing
  • Development of reproducible data analysis pipelines using version control software
  • Preferred: Background in cancer biology and experience in long-read sequencing data analysis

Job Description:

The successful candidate will lead the development of scalable computational solutions for analyzing long-read whole-genome sequencing data sets from various human tumor types, including adult and pediatric tumors. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing computational methods for analyzing high-throughput sequencing data.
  • Collaborating closely with clinical and wet-lab teams.
  • Engaging with national and international collaborators.
  • Designing novel algorithms and exploring personal research hypotheses.
