Eligibility/Qualification:
- Education: PhD in life sciences (preferably computational biology, genomics, statistics, or a related field)
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and programming skills (preferably in Python and R)
- Significant experience in computational genomics (ideally in cancer genomics)
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficient communication skills in English
- Experience in Unix-based environments and high-performance computing
- Development of reproducible data analysis pipelines using version control software
- Preferred: Background in cancer biology and experience in long-read sequencing data analysis
Job Description:
The successful candidate will lead the development of scalable computational solutions for analyzing long-read whole-genome sequencing data sets from various human tumor types, including adult and pediatric tumors. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing computational methods for analyzing high-throughput sequencing data.
- Collaborating closely with clinical and wet-lab teams.
- Engaging with national and international collaborators.
- Designing novel algorithms and exploring personal research hypotheses.
