Postdoctoral Fellow (Molecular Biology): Tampere University, in collaboration with Tampere University of Applied Sciences, seeks a Postdoctoral Research Fellow for a two-year fixed-term position within the Finnish Hub for Development and Validation of Integrated Approaches (FHAIVE). The research focuses on molecular biology, specifically within the ERC Consolidator Project ARCHIMEDES. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of integrated approaches for chemical safety assessment and drug development, combining in vitro techniques, AI-based data analytics, and predictive modeling.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Molecular Biology or related field
  • Solid background in molecular biology and epigenomics
  • Expertise in qPCR and DNA sequencing data analysis
  • Knowledge of dose-dependent analysis
  • Familiarity with cell biology techniques and in vitro (human models) toxicology and pharmacology
  • Dynamic, positive thinking, and ability to interpret experimental results
  • Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Proficient in spoken and written English
  • Demonstrated research track record with publications

Job Description:

  • Develop high-throughput molecular assays to monitor epigenetic changes upon chemical and drug exposure
  • Design and optimize high-throughput PCR and sequencing-based assays from in vitro experiments
  • Develop high-throughput experimental pipelines using advanced pipetting robot facilities
  • Contribute to the ERC Consolidator Project ARCHIMEDES
