Postdoctoral Fellow on Molecular/Cell Biology: IRB Barcelona invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position in the Structural Bioinformatics and Network Biology group, led by Dr. Patrick Aloy. The selected candidate will work on Systems Medicine approaches within the CLARITY European collaborative project, focusing on the molecular and physiological mechanisms of RSV infection contributing to asthma development.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Education: Bachelor in Biosciences. PhD in Pharmacology, Molecular, or Cell Biology.
- Experience: Previous experience in complex diseases, molecular and cellular models. Strong publication record according to career stage.
- Skills: Standard biochemistry, molecular and cell biology techniques; target validation and drug screening; knowledge of `omics technologies and high-throughput approaches; positive organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Desirable: Experience in the in vitro assessment of drug actions.
Job Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for developing molecular and cell biology assays to detect drug-induced reversion of RSV perturbations. Collaborating with the Boes group (UMC Utrecht), they will devise an experimental strategy to assess compound impact on transcription, cytokine secretion, apoptosis/pyroptosis, and cell proliferation in A549 and HEp-2 lung epithelial cells. The role also involves scaling up reporter assays for the drug screen robotics facility.
