Postdoctoral Fellow (PANCHIP Project): UiT – The Arctic University of Norway is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow in Translational Cancer Research. This is a 3-year, full-time position under the PANCHIP project, funded by Helse Nord RHF (North Norwegian Health Authority) and conducted in close collaboration with Universitetssykehuset Nord-Norge (UNN) Hospital.

Eligibility / Qualification
- PhD in Cancer Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, or a closely related field
- Strong background in cancer biology and translational research
- Experience working with clinical samples and patient-derived tumor cells
- Interest in pancreatic cancer (PDAC) and interdisciplinary research
- Experience or strong interest in tumor-on-chip models, advanced microscopy, or quantitative imaging is highly desirable
- Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines such as biology, physics, and engineering
Job Description
- Conduct translational cancer research within the PANCHIP project
- Study mechanisms of cancer escape, relapse, and therapy resistance
- Work with patient-derived tumor cells and clinically relevant cancer models
- Apply physical principles and quantitative imaging to investigate cancer behavior
- Collaborate closely with clinicians, engineers, and physicists
- Contribute to publications, project reporting, and interdisciplinary teamwork
